Montréal, 2 juillet 2019 – C’est maintenant l’été et les tournois des circuits provinciaux amateur et junior se multiplient aux quatre coins de la province. Juillet rime également avec championnat provincial puisque les nouveaux champions seront couronnés dans le prochain mois.
Circuit provincial masculin
Les golfeurs du Circuit provincial masculin présenté par Turkish Airlines en collaboration avec belairdirect seront bien occupés puisque les trois tournois de la Triple couronne masculine sont au programme du mois de juillet. Les athlètes québécois pourront se faire valoir à l’Alexandre de Tunis, au Duc de Kent et finalement au Championnat provincial amateur masculin.
Lors de l’édition 2018 du Championnat provincial, disputée au Windmill Heights à Notre-Dame-De-L’Île-Perrot, c’est Loick Laramée (Drummondville), qui avait raflé le titre. Vice-champion, Julien Sale (Rivermead) avait remporté les grands honneurs des deux autres tournois et a terminé au premier rang de la Triple couronne.
Une fois cette série d’événements complétés, les trois premiers golfeurs à l’Ordre de mérite de la Triple couronne constitueront l’équipe provinciale qui représentera Golf Québec au Championnat canadien amateur masculin qui se tiendra du 5 au 8 août à Hammonds Plains et Timberlea, en Nouvelle-Écosse.
4-5 juillet : Alexandre de Tunis (Rideau View, Manotick, Ontario)
7 au 9 juillet : Invitation Bromont (Château Bromont, Bromont)
15-16 juillet : Duc de Kent (Royal Québec, Québec)
22 au 25 juillet : Championnat provincial amateur masculin (Beauceville)
Circuit provincial féminin
Pour ce qui est du Circuit provincial féminin présenté par Turkish Airlines en collaboration avec belairdirect, les golfeuses seront à St-Liguori, au Club de golf Montcalm pour les Championnats provinciaux amateur et sénior du 14 au 16 juillet.
Il s’agira de la deuxième et dernière étape de la Série Jocelyne Bourassa, qui célèbre sa 10e année d’existence cette année. Intégrée à la Série lors de sa création, la compétition sénior fête, quant à elle son 50e anniversaire.
7 au 9 juillet : Invitation Bromont (Château Bromont, Bromont)
10 et 11 juillet : Coupe Hélène Desmarais (Memphrémagog)
14 au 16 juillet : Championnats provinciaux amateur et sénior féminin (Montcalm, St-Liguori)
23 au 26 juillet : Championnat canadien amateur féminin (Red Deer, Alberta)
Circuit provincial junior
Dans le cadre du Circuit provincial junior présenté par Daigneau, eau de source naturelle en collaboration avec Turkish Airlines, les golfeurs auront un premier arrêt à leur agenda le 8 juillet aux clubs de Hawkesbury et de Lotbinière pour les qualifications en vue du Championnat provincial junior.
La 25e édition du Championnat provincial junior des filles aura lieu à Montcalm en même temps que les Championnats provinciaux amateur et sénior féminins du 14 au 16 juillet.
En 2018, c’est Céleste Dao (Summerlea) qui l’avait emporté avant de s’imposer deux semaines plus tard au Championnat canadien junior. Elle avait devancé Élizabeth Labbé (Lorette) et Emily Romancew (Elm Ridge).
Pour les garçons, c’est du côté de Rockland, en Ontario, que le titre provincial se disputera du 31 juillet au 1er août.
Laurent Desmarchais (Vallée du Richelieu) avait été couronné l’année dernière. Rémi Chartier (Royal Montréal) et Logan Boucher (Summerlea) avaient suivi sur le podium terminant à égalité au deuxième rang.

Montréal, July 2, 2019 – Now that summer is in full swing, the Provincial Amateur and Junior Tours are visiting every corner of the province. The stakes will be high in the month of July as new provincial champions will be crowned in every category.
Men’s Provincial Tour
Golfers who participate in the Men’s Provincial Tour presented by Turkish Airlines in collaboration with belairdirect will be quite busy as the three events composing the Men’s Triple Crown will be presented in July. Québec athletes will get an opportunity to showcase their skills in the Alexander of Tunis, Duke of Kent, and Men’s Provincial Amateur Championship.
In the 2018 edition of the Provincial Championship which was held at the Windmill Heights Golf Club in Notre-Dame-De-L’Île-Perrot, Loick Laramée (Drummondville) captured the victory. Runner-up Julien Sale (Rivermead) had won the titles in the two other tournaments to finish first on the Triple Crown Order of Merit.
At the end of this series of events, the top three (3) players on the Triple Crown Order of Merit will represent Golf Québec at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship to be held in Hammond Plains and Timberlea, Nova Scotia, from August 5 to 8, 2019.

Women’s Provincial Tour
In the Women’s Provincial Tour presented by Turkish Airlines in collaboration with belairdirect, competitors will visit St-Liguori for the Provincial Amateur and Senior Championships that will be held at Club de golf Montcalm from July 14 to 16.
This will be the second and final leg of the Jocelyne Bourassa Series, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Integrated in the Series when it was created, the women’s senior competition is also turning 50 years old.

July 10-11: Hélène Desmarais Cup (Memphrémagog)
July 14 to 16: Women’s Provincial Amateur and Senior Championships (Montcalm, St-Liguori)
July 23 to 26: Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship (Red Deer, Alberta)
Junior Provincial Tour
In the Junior Provincial Tour presented by Daigneau, eau de source naturelle in collaboration with Turkish Airlines, golfers will want to reserve their agendas to participate in one of the July 8 Provincial Junior Championship qualifiers to be held at Hawkesbury and Lotbinière.
The 25th edition of the Girls’ Provincial Junior Championship will be held at Montcalm, from July 14 to 16, in conjunction with the Women’s Provincial Amateur and Senior Championships.
In 2018, Céleste Dao (Summerlea) dominated the event before winning the Canadian Junior Championship two weeks later. She had captured the victory ahead of Élizabeth Labbé (Lorette) and Emily Romancew (Elm Ridge).
For their competition, the boys will travel to the Rockland Golf Club, in Ontario, where the Provincial Junior Championship will be held form July 31 to August 1.
