Ariane Fortin se joint à l’équipe de Sprint Management

MONTRÉAL, jeudi le 5 mai — Sprint Management annonce que la boxeuse québécoise Ariane Fortin a signé une entente de représentation avec l’agence de marketing sportive dirigée par Bruny Surin. Fortin portera les couleurs du Canada cet été aux Jeux olympiques de Rio 2016.

Native de la ville de Saint-Nicolas, QC, la boxeuse de 31 ans et de 75 kg affiche une marque impressionnante de 135 victoires en 159 combats dans la catégorie de poids moyen. Sous la tutelle des entraineurs Mike Moffa et Danielle Bouchard, Fortin se classe 4e au rang mondial de l’AIBA, et a remporté plusieurs distinctions au niveau international, dont une médaille d’argent aux Jeux du Commonwealth en 2014, une médaille de bronze aux Jeux panaméricains en 2015 et une médaille d’argent aux qualifications olympiques continentales de 2016. Fortin a également été couronnée à plusieurs reprises avec l’AIBA, remportant deux fois la médaille d’or aux Championnats mondiaux. Grâce à ses nombreux exploits, Boxing Canada nomma Fortin boxeuse féminine de l’année en 2006, 2008, et 2009. Selon plusieurs observateurs du sport, il est très possible qu'Ariane Fortin devienne l'une des premières médaillées pour le Canada à Rio.

Ariane Fortin joins Sprint Management Team

MONTRÉAL, May 5 — Sprint Management announces that Quebec-born boxer Ariane Fortin has signed with the full service athlete and marketing agency managed by Canadian track legend Bruny Surin. Fortin will represent Canada at the coming 2016 Olympic Games in Rio this summer.

A native of Saint-Nicolas, QC, the 31-year old, 75-kg middleweight boxer has posted an impressive 135 victories in 159 fights. Under the tutelage of coaches Mike Moffa and Danielle Bouchard, Fortin is ranked 4th in the world by AIBA. Over the years, Fortin has earned numerous international accolades, including a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan-Am Games, and a silver medal at the 2016 Continental Olympic Qualifiers. Fortin has also enjoyed gold medal victory within AIBA, having been crowned twice at World Championships. In 2006, 2008, and 2009, Boxing Canada recognized Fortin as the Female Boxer of the Year, thanks to her numerous accomplishments leading up to that point. Since then, Fortin has continued to climb the ranks of her sport. According to many observers, Ariane Fortin stands a strong chance to become one of the first medalists for Canada in Rio.
