Victoriaville (Centre-du-Québec), le 14 décembre 2022 – La direction du Club de golf Victoriaville accueille une excellente nouvelle de la part de la Ville de Victoriaville, à l’aube de la présentation de la 10e édition de la Coupe Canada Fenergic, regroupant les meilleurs professionnels au pays et outre frontière, se disputant à chaque année, une bourse de 125 000 $ dont 25 000 $ au champion.
Le maire de la municipalité de Victoriaville, Antoine Tardif, a annoncé le renouvellement de l’entente pour trois autres années avec la direction de la Coupe Canada Fenergic. La Ville de Victoriaville agit à titre de partenaire présentateur de l’événement depuis la création du tournoi national en 2013.
« Le Club de golf de Victoriaville est reconnu pour la grande qualité de son parcours, mais également pour le dynamisme et l’excellence de son équipe de gestion. Nous sommes chanceux de pouvoir compter sur un terrain de golf possédant une telle renommée. La Coupe Canada Fenergic permet de réunir à Victoriaville l’élite du golf canadien et offre une vitrine exceptionnelle à notre région. Pour ces raisons, nous sommes fiers de renouveler notre entente liant la Ville de Victoriaville avec le Club de golf de Victoriaville jusqu’en 2025 » indique le maire de Victoriaville, Antoine Tardif.
Pour Jerry Séguin, président de la Coupe Canada Fenergic, cette nouvelle arrive à point et vient stabiliser l’événement : « La Ville de Victoriaville via son maire de l’époque, Alain Rayes, a toujours été derrière nous afin de nous permettre de recevoir un événement golfique important, un peu comme on l’avait fait avec l’Omnium du Québec Lactantia durant 11 ans. Il en fût de même avec son prédécesseur, le maire André Bellavance et l’actuel maire, Antoine Tardif. Nous avons toujours senti cette main sur notre épaule de la part de la ville et de son conseil municipal et sans eux, il serait impensable de tenir un tournoi de golf professionnel de cette envergure au Centre-du-Québec. Je tiens à remercier sincèrement le maire Antoine Tardif et ses dynamiques conseillers municipaux. La Coupe Canada Fenergic fait rayonner toute la région partout au Canada et a permis à notre club de golf de se positionner au 8e rang des plus beaux clubs de golf au Québec selon un récent sondage ».

Après neuf belles années de soutien, notre partenaire depuis l’an un, Sani Marc, nous quitte avec le sentiment du devoir accompli. La direction de la Coupe Canada Fenergic tient à remercier sincèrement messieurs Pierre Goudreault et Patrick Couture du Groupe Sani Marc d’avoir cru en notre événement et de nous avoir aidé à le propulser au 2e rang des tournois de golf professionnel canadien.
« Les mots Coupe Canada et Sani Marc sont devenus indissociables au fil des années et nous devrons nous habituer à prononcer le nom de notre événement d’une façon différente à compter de maintenant. L’apport de Sani Marc est incommensurable et ne sera jamais oublié » mentionne Alain Danault, directeur général du Club de golf Victoriaville.
« Ce fut un honneur de participer à la création de la Coupe Canada qui a connu une évolution fulgurante depuis la première édition. Après neuf années d’implication, nous nous retirons de l’événement comme partenaire en titre en sachant que l’événement est entre de bonnes mains. Je souhaite tout le succès espéré à mes amis Jerry Séguin et Alain Danault avec qui ce fut un plaisir de collaborer. Du côté de Sani Marc, soyez assurés que nous poursuivrons notre implication dans la communauté sous une autre forme », évoque Patrick Couture, VP, développement des affaires chez Sani Marc.
L’organisation de la Coupe Canada Fenergic a enclenché les démarches dans le but d’offrir l’opportunité à un nouveau commanditaire d’agir à titre de partenaire en titre, en remplacement de Sani Marc.
UN RÔLE DIFFÉRENT POUR JERRY SÉGUIN
Le nom de Jerry Séguin a toujours été associé au succès de la Coupe Canada Fenergic. Après neuf années à la tête de l’événement, Jerry amorcera une transition dans le but ralentir le rythme mais demeurera bien impliqué dans la prise des décisions. C’est le directeur du Club de golf Victoriaville, Alain Danault, qui assurera la relève à la présidence de l’événement.
« La Coupe Canada Fenergic est devenue un événement dont la charge organisationnelle croît au même rythme que son importante évolution. Alain et Jerry ont créé cet événement avec toute l’énergie et la passion qu’on leur connaît et la Coupe Canada Fenergic, soutenue par la précieuse participation de la Ville de Victoriaville, continuera de croître avec Alain à sa tête. Il est rassurant de savoir que Jerry ne sera jamais bien loin », indique Philippe- André Champoux, président du Club de golf Victoriaville.
Éric Couture, directeur des compétitions chez Golf Québec et Guylaine Trahan, qui fait maintenant partie de la permanence de la Coupe Canada Fenergic, formeront la garde rapprochée.
PLACE AU 10E ANNIVERSAIRE
2023 marquera la 10e édition de la Coupe Canada Fenergic et la direction travaille actuellement sur un calendrier de festivités qui sera rendu publique d’ici quelques mois.
« Nous profiterons du 10e anniversaire de l’événement pour reconnaître les acteurs qui ont permis à notre événement de se retrouver à la place enviable qu’elle occupe sur l’échiquier golfique canadien actuellement », conclut Alain Danault, directeur général du Club de golf Victoriaville.
Le Club de golf Victoriaville sera l’hôte de la 10e édition de la Coupe Canada Fenergic, présentée par la Ville de Victoriaville, du 17 au 20 août 2023, précédée par les deux traditionnels Pro-Ams Desjardins, les 15 et 16 août.

Victoriaville (Centre-du-Québec), December 14, 2022 – The management of the Victoriaville Golf Club welcomes excellent news from the City of Victoriaville, before the presentation of the 10th edition of the Fenergic Canada Cup, bringing together the best professionals in the country and across the border, competing each year for a $125,000 purse, including $25,000 for the champion.
The mayor of the municipality of Victoriaville, Antoine Tardif, announced the renewal of the agreement for another three years with the management of the Fenergic Canada Cup. The City of Victoriaville has been the presenting partner of the event since the creation of the national tournament in 2013.
« The Victoriaville Golf Club is known for the high quality of its course, but also for the dynamism and excellence of its management team. We are fortunate to have a golf course with such a reputation. The Fenergic Canada Cup brings the elite of Canadian golf to Victoriaville and provides an exceptional showcase for our region. For these reasons, we are proud to renew our agreement between the City of Victoriaville and the Victoriaville Golf Club until 2025, » said Victoriaville Mayor Antoine Tardif.
For Jerry Séguin, president of the Fenergic Canada Cup, this news comes at the right time and stabilizes the event: « The City of Victoriaville, through its mayor at the time, Alain Rayes, has always been behind us in order to allow us to host an important golf event, much like we did with the Lactantia Québec Open for 11 years. It was the same with his predecessor, Mayor André Bellavance and the current Mayor Antoine Tardif.
We have always felt supported by the city and its council and without them, it would be unthinkable to hold a professional golf tournament of this magnitude in the Centre-du-Québec region. I would like to sincerely thank Mayor Antoine Tardif and his dynamic municipal councillors. The Fenergic Canada Cup has made the entire region known throughout Canada and has allowed our golf club to be ranked 8th among the most beautiful golf clubs in Québec according to a recent survey. »

After nine great years of support, our partner since year one, Sani Marc, is leaving us with a sense of accomplishment. The management of the Fenergic Canada Cup would like to sincerely thank Pierre Goudreault and Patrick Couture of the Sani Marc Group, for believing in our event and for helping us to propel it to the second rank of Canadian professional golf tournaments.
« Canada Cup and Sani Marc have become inseparable words over the years and we will have to get used to pronouncing the name of our event in a different way from now on. Sani Marc’s contribution is immeasurable and will never be forgotten, » said Alain Danault, General Manager of the Victoriaville Golf Club.

The Fenergic Canada Cup organization has started the process to offer the opportunity to a new sponsor to act as main partner, replacing Sani Marc.
A DIFFERENT ROLE FOR JERRY SÉGUIN
Jerry Séguin’s name has always been associated with the success of the Fenergic Canada Cup. After nine years at the helm of the event, Jerry will be transitioning to a slower pace but will remain involved in the decision-making process.
Alain Danault, Director of the Victoriaville Golf Club, will take over as President of the event.
« The Fenergic Canada Cup has become an event whose organizational load is growing along with its important evolution. Alain and Jerry have created this event with all the energy and passion we know and the Fenergic Canada Cup, supported by the valuable participation of the City of Victoriaville, will continue to grow with Alain at its head. It is reassuring to know that Jerry will never be far away« , says Philippe-André Champoux, President of the Victoriaville Golf Club.
Éric Couture, director of competitions at Golf Québec and Guylaine Trahan, who is now part of the Fenergic Canada Cup staff, will form the close guard.
10TH ANNIVERSARY
2023 will mark the 10th edition of the Fenergic Canada Cup and the management is currently working on a schedule of festivities that will be made public in the next few months.
« We will take advantage of the 10th anniversary of the event to recognize the players who have allowed our event to reach the enviable position it currently occupies on the Canadian golf scene« , concludes Alain Danault, General Manager of the Victoriaville Golf Club.
The Victoriaville Golf Club will host the 10th edition of the Fenergic Canada Cup, presented by the City of Victoriaville, from August 17 to 20, 2023, preceded by the two traditional Desjardins Pro-Ams on August 15 and 16.
