PGA du Québec
Victoriaville, le 10 juillet 2026 – Le Club de golf Laurier accueillait vendredi l’Omnium Machinex, un tournoi dont la PGA du Québec assurait l’organisation pour la toute première fois. L’événement a réuni professionnels et amateurs dans le cadre d’une compétition relevée, en plus d’offrir plusieurs exemptions en vue de la Coupe Canada Victoriaville-Fenergic.
Chez les professionnels, Alexis Clément a signé une excellente ronde de 65 (-7) pour mettre la main sur les grands honneurs de l’Omnium Machinex. Grâce à cette performance, il obtient sa troisième victoire sur le circuit de la PGA du Québec cette saison, confirmant son excellent début de campagne.
Du côté amateur, Ben Millaud Meunier et Gabriel Bernard ont partagé le titre de co-champions après avoir tous deux remis une carte de 72 (normale).
Au-delà de la compétition, l’Omnium Machinex représentait également une importante occasion de qualification pour la Coupe Canada Victoriaville-Fenergic, qui se tiendra du 13 au 16 août prochain au Club de golf Victoriaville.
Treize professionnels ont obtenu leur exemption pour participer à l’événement : Simon Ménard, Marc Hurtubise, Gianfranco Guida, Daniel James Bogan, Yann Béland, Mike Anderson, Thomas Ducharme, Ben Boudreau, William Blanchard, Chris Vandette, Angie Ethier, Martin Lachance et Noémie Paré.
En plus de leur qualification, quatre professionnels ont obtenu leur inscription gratuite à la Coupe Canada Victoriaville-Fenergic, soit Alexis Clément, James Colin Davis, Brandon Lacasse et Sonny Michaud. Félicitations messieurs pour ce prix d’une valeur de plus de 650$.
Chez les amateurs, cinq joueurs ont également décroché leur laissez-passer pour la Coupe Canada Victoriaville-Fenergic : Ben Millaud Meunier, Gabriel Bernard, Thomas Dumont, Thomas Channevy et Lucas Cardozo.
La PGA du Québec tient également à remercier BEHY, qui a fourni ses produits d’hydratation à tous les participants tout au long de la compétition, ainsi que Cracked Canoe, qui a offert de la bière aux professionnels pour conclure la journée.
Un Pro-am festif pour lancer les activités
Les activités avaient débuté la veille avec la présentation du Pro-am Machinex. Les équipes, composées de trois amateurs accompagnés d’un professionnel ou d’une professionnelle, se sont affrontées sous la formule Vegas dans une ambiance conviviale.
À la suite de la ronde, les participants ont pris part à un concours de coup d’approche où ils devaient atteindre une chaloupe installée sur un lac à une distance de 55 verges afin de remporter des vêtements de la collection Machinex.
La journée s’est conclue avec un concours de la plus longue drive entre les professionnels. Malgré les conditions pluvieuses, William Blanchard s’est imposé avec un impressionnant coup de 315 verges.
La PGA du Québec tient finalement à remercier chaleureusement Machinex pour sa confiance et sa collaboration dans cette première année d’organisation conjointe de l’événement, ainsi que le Club de golf Laurier pour son accueil et l’ensemble des partenaires ayant contribué au succès de cette édition.

Victoriaville, July 10, 2026 – On Friday, the Laurier Golf Club hosted the Machinex Open, a tournament organized by the PGA of Québec for the very first time. The event brought together professionals and amateurs for a highly competitive tournament and offered several exemptions for the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup.
In the professional division, Alexis Clément carded an excellent round of 65 (-7) to claim top honors at the Machinex Open. With this performance, he secured his third victory on the PGA of Québec Tour this season, confirming his excellent start to the campaign.
On the amateur side, Ben Millaud Meunier and Gabriel Bernard shared the title of co-champions after both carded a 72 (par).
Beyond the competition, the Machinex Open also served as an important qualifying event for the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup, which will be held August 13–16 at the Victoriaville Golf Club.
Thirteen professionals earned their exemptions to participate in the event: Simon Ménard, Marc Hurtubise, Gianfranco Guida, Daniel James Bogan, Yann Béland, Mike Anderson, Thomas Ducharme, Ben Boudreau, William Blanchard, Chris Vandette, Angie Ethier, Martin Lachance, and Noémie Paré.

The PGA of Québec would also like to thank BEHY, which provided hydration products to all participants throughout the competition, as well as Cracked Canoe, which offered beer to the professionals to wrap up the day.
A Festive Pro-Am to Kick Off the Activities
The activities began the day before with the Machinex Pro-Am. The teams, each consisting of three amateurs paired with a professional or a professional , competed in a Vegas-style format in a friendly atmosphere.
Following the round, participants took part in an approach shot contest where they had to hit a rowboat set up on a lake 55 yards away to win apparel from the Machinex collection.
The day concluded with a long drive contest among the professionals. Despite the rainy conditions, William Blanchard emerged victorious with an impressive 315-yard drive.
