Early Elimination for Burt and Krieber-Gagnon in China

Montreal, May 27, 2018 – The stellar performance of the Canadian team at the Hohhot Grand Prix, in China, came to an end on Sunday. Zachary Burt and Louis Krieber-Gagnon were both eliminated quickly in the -90 kg category, and will be coming home empty-handed.

Burt, from Oshawa, had one victory and one defeat in the preliminary rounds. He first won by ippon against Brazilian Eduardo Bettoni, before being defeated in the same way by American Colton Brown, who ended up in 7th place.

Krieber-Gagnon, from Montreal, was out even quicker. He was eliminated after his first bout, which was won by waza-ari by German Dario Kurbjeweit Garcia.
