Montréal – 12 février 2025 – Golf Québec et le Championnat national canadien de golf junior Notah Begay III sont ravis de travailler ensemble cette année. Ce partenariat élargi offrira de nouvelles possibilités passionnantes à nos golfeuses juniors et à leurs familles.

Le Championnat national canadien de golf junior NB3 et Golf Québec entament actuellement leur deuxième année de collaboration afin que les juniors canadiens aient accès au NB3. Ces juniors auront la chance de participer au 3^e Championnat national canadien de golf junior annuel à Montréal et courrons la chance, pour la première fois, de gagner des bourses NIL ainsi qu’une exemption pour un événement du PGA Tour of Americas en 2026. Cette année, NB3 a ajouté une division WAGR de 54 trous pour les garçons plus âgés et prévoit le faire également pour les filles dès 2026. TSN et RDS couvriront le championnat qui aura lieu du 3 au 5 août 2025.

Nous avons développé une relation solide avec le Championnat national canadien de golf junior Notah Begay III », a déclaré Sandrine Bigras, directrice des compétitions de Golf Québec. « Cette année, comme l’an dernier, Golf Québec jouera un rôle important dans le fonctionnement et l’arbitrage du Championnat national canadien NB3. »

Au cours des cinq dernières années, NB3 s’est développé à l’échelle mondiale et leur expansion au Canada était un de leurs objectifs depuis le début. Leur Championnat américain regroupe maintenant certains des meilleures joueuses et des meilleurs joueurs de plus de 15 pays. L’an dernier, 15 athlètes ont représenté le Canada et trois d’entre eux venaient du Québec. Également, pour la première fois, Kaylee Chung, de la Colombie-Britannique, est devenue championne de la division des filles de 16 à 18 ans. « Nous ne remercierons jamais assez Golf Québec pour son soutien continu à notre mission, qui est d’offrir aux golfeuses et aux golfeurs juniors canadiens la possibilité de se rendre jusqu’aux États-Unis », a déclaré Rob Dickson, partenaire principal de NB3 et hôte du Championnat canadien au Club de golf Kanawaki, au Québec.

Le Championnat national canadien de golf junior Notah Begay III en est à sa sixième année et vise à développer le jeu de golf en offrant aux joueuses et aux joueurs une plateforme pour se mesurer aux meilleurs juniors du pays dans le cadre d’une véritable série de qualification ouverte. Le Championnat national sera télévisé sur Golf Channel aux heures de grande écoute, avec plus de quatre (4) heures de diffusion, ce qui n’a jamais été fait auparavant. Ces joueuses et ces joueurs auront la chance d’être reconnus sur une plateforme sans précédent, augmentant leurs chances de #getNOTAHced par les repêcheurs universitaires du pays. Avec cette plateforme, Notah a voulu élargir ses activités au Canada pour donner aux juniors situés au nord de la frontière la possibilité de participer aux tournois américains et, un jour, de jouer au golf au sein d’une équipe universitaire.

Comment se qualifier pour le Championnat national canadien de golf junior Notah Begay lll

Le Championnat national canadien de golf junior Notah Begay III est une série de rondes de qualification qui se déroule dans tout le pays. Il suit la même structure que le NB3 JGNC des États-Unis avec des rondes de qualification provinciales suivies par le Championnat national canadien et, enfin, par le Championnat mondial des États-Unis. Il y a treize sites de qualification au Canada, dont au moins un dans chaque province, qui mènent tous au Championnat national canadien. Il y a deux événements de qualification près de Montréal pour nos golfeuses et nos golfeurs juniors. Les joueuses et les joueurs peuvent également utiliser la place gagnée lors de leur tournoi de qualification provincial et participer à un tournoi régional américain afin d’avoir plusieurs chances de participer au Championnat national américain. Notah Begay III Canadian National JR Championship in conjunction with Golf Québec announces renewed partnership for 2025

Montréal – February 12, 2025 – Golf Québec & The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship are excited to be working together this year. The extended partnership will provide new and exciting opportunities to our junior golfers and families.

Golf Québec and The NB3 JGNC are currently entering into the 2nd year of working together so that the Canadian juniors will have access to the NB3. These juniors will have the chance to play in the 3^rd annual Canadian JR Championship in Montréal, Québec, and for the first time compete for a chance to win a NIL purses as well as an exemption into a PGA Tour of Americas event in 2026. This year the NB3 has added a 54-hole WAGR division for the older boys and has plans to do so for the girls in 2026. TSN and RDS will cover the championship that takes place on August 3-5, 2025.

The NB3 has grown globally over the last 5 years and the expansion into Canada has been a goal of them since the start. Their US Championship now includes top players from over 15 countries and last year 15 players represented Canada and three of them were from Québec. Last year, for the first time, Kaylee Chung from British Columbia became the champion of the overall girls 16 to 18 division. “We cannot thank Golf Québec enough for their continued support in our mission to provide Canadian junior golfers the opportunity to make it all the way to the US, » said Rob Dickson, senior partner of the NB3 and host of the Canadian Championship at the Kanawaki Golf Club in Québec.

About Notah Begay III Jr Golf National Championship

The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship is in its sixth year and aims to grow the game of golf by providing a platform for players to compete against the best juniors in the Country in a true, open qualifying series. The National Championship will be televised on Golf Channel in prime time that will be airing over 4 hours of broadcast time that has never been done before. These players will have a chance to be recognized on a platform like no other, increasing the chances to #getNOTAHced by college coaches around the country. How to qualify in the Notah Begay lll Canadian Jr Golf National Championship

The Notah Begay lll Canadian Junior Golf National Championship is a qualifying series that runs all throughout the country of Canada. It follows the same structure as the United States NB3JGNC with provincial qualifying, then to the Canadian National Championship and finally the US Global Championship. There are thirteen qualifying sites across Canada with at least one in every province that all lead to the Canadian National Championship. There are two qualification events close to Montréal for our junior players. Players can also use the spot earned from their provincial qualifying tournament and compete in a US Regional to have multiple chances of making it to the US National Championship.
